Cookie policy and your choices

This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on mudey.fr and on the help centre help.mudey.fr. It complements our privacy policy, which covers all processing of personal data.

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a site. We also use browser local storage, which follows the same logic and the same consent rules.

• •Strictly necessary cookies : sign-in session, security, cart and form validation. Without them the platform cannot deliver the service you ask for. We set them without consent.
• •Preferences : display language, currency and light or dark theme. They remember your choices from one visit to the next and serve no other purpose.
• •Audience measurement : aggregated traffic statistics telling us which pages are useful and which cause trouble. Set only after your consent.
• •Marketing : measuring how well our campaigns perform. Set only after your consent; without them you see exactly the same site as everyone else.

Some services embedded in the platform set their own cookies, under their own responsibility:

• •Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, for secure payment processing and fraud prevention. They are necessary to fulfil your order.
• •Our hosting provider and our audience measurement tool, for service security and aggregated statistics.
• •Video players and embedded content that may appear in a lesson, when an instructor uses them.

These third parties act under their own policies, which we encourage you to read.

Strictly necessary cookies rely on our legitimate interest in providing a secure and functional service. All others rely on your consent, collected category by category on your first visit.

Declining is as easy as accepting, and continuing to browse never amounts to consent. Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

• •Session cookies: erased when the browser closes.
• •Authentication cookie: thirty (30) days at most, renewed at each sign-in.
• •Language, currency and theme preferences: twelve (12) months.
• •Choice made on the cookie banner: six (6) months, after which the banner reappears.
• •Audience measurement: thirteen (13) months at most.

The "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page reopens the settings panel at any time and lets you enable or disable each optional category.

Your browser also has its own settings: blocking, deleting or warning on each cookie. Blocking strictly necessary cookies prevents signing in to your account and accessing purchased courses.

This cookie policy evolves with the platform and the services embedded in it. We announce any substantial change on this page, whose last update date appears at the top.
